Luiz Carlos Trabuco Cappi And His Loyaly To Bradesco
What Makes A Great CEO?
When you think of one of the top Brazilian CEO’s, Luiz Carlos Trabuco Cappi Bradesco must come in mind. He is not your typical wealth-flaunting and fast-paced CEO that you usually see. He is well-educated, kind, soft-spoken, and level headed s that he is more of a diplomatic CEO. Instead of fast cars and hot babes, he prefers to be in the company of his family in his modest home.
Unlike most of his peers that were finance majors, he decided to study sociology and psychology. His unique liberal arts education may be one of his keys to success as he takes life from a different perspective. He was one of the key individuals that had changed the company since the 1980s and he deserves his position more than anybody.
Luiz Carlos Trabuco Cappi And His Loyalty To Bradesco
Luiz has worked for the company his entire adult life. He began working in a low-level position in a small town at the age of 18. Luiz Carlos Trabuco Cappi had continued to work while balancing his university life during the day. Once he graduated with both of his degrees, he stepped up his game and worked up the corporate ladder.
By the 1980s, he was the director of marketing for the company. His radical advertising policies had changed the way this old-fashioned bank had advertised itself to the public. Against the wishes of the founder, Luiz had opened up the company to media outlets so that the name will be seen everywhere. Prior to Luiz’s changes, Amador had preferred to keep the operations of the bank mostly secretive. His opinion had changed once the company had rapidly started growing to become the biggest bank in the country.
The Death Of A Founder
Amador Aguiar was the founder and one of the most treasured members of the company. He was also the first and sole CEO of the company up until his death in 1991. The company had never elected another CEO before so they struggled to find the right replacement. Luiz was seen as a good choice, but the board members thought that he was still too young. They ended up choosing Márcio Cypriano to lead the company for several years, but his time was limited as he neared the maximum age of 65 years old.
Once Marcio had hit the retirement age, Luiz was an easy choice for the executive team. He is now CEO of the company and he has had to take on a new list of responsibilities. Marcio had acquired a lot of companies during his time as CEO so this had added to Luiz’s new job. Many of the competitor companies have merged and this has dwarfed the company from being the largest to the second largest. The financial markets in Brazil have also taken a nose dive, but this is not within the power of Bradesco to control.
