The Kabbalah Centre is headquartered in Los Angeles, but there are locations all over the world, including the Americas, Asia, the Middle East and Europe. The Kabbalah religion has captured the attention of a number of celebrities, including Madonna, Britney Spears and Ashton Kutcher, and the teachings encourage behaving in a way that is kind and morally upright. It was even reported that Madonna attended prayer sessions in 2016 at the Kabbalah Centre to repair relationship with her teenage son.
Kabbalah is thought to be related to the Jewish religion, and it was previously thought that men over 40 who were studious and well-versed in Judaism were qualified to learn Kabbalah. However, a previous knowledge of Hebrew or the Jewish religion is not required to become part of Kabbalah.
Kabbalah also has many similarities to Christianity. The Bible is used as a reference for study, but Kabbalah instructors assert that the stories in the Bible are metaphorical and not literal. Kabbalah also suggests that it should be the goal of humans to learn more about the Light, or essence of God. Kabbalah teaches that God is too complex for the human mind to comprehend, so people should strive to learn about and emulate the characteristics of God.
Reading materials and video courses are available for those who can’t visit the Kabbalah Centre in person, and there are also classes offered at each of the centers around the world. The Kabbalah Centre donates to a number of charitable causes such as Habitat for Humanity and the American Red Cross to help those in need. More information can be found at http://kabbalah.com.
