Brian Mulligan is the current Chief Executive Officer for Brooknol Advisors. Brooknol Advisors is an advisory company for the Entertainment, Media, and Sports industries. Over his 30-year-career, Brian Mulligan has held many positions in the media and entertainment industries. Before starting his career path, Mulligan received his Bachelor’s in Science from the University of Southern California (USC) and received his Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA).
After graduating with his MBA, Brian Mulligan first started his career as a co-founder of the Entertainment Practice Unit where he served as a Senior Manager. After leaving the Entertainment Practice Unit, Mulligan went on to work for major entertainment companies such as the SyFy Channel, Cineplex Entertainment, Universal Studios, Universal Television, Universal Pictures, the USA Network, Fox Broadcasting Company, and Spyglass Partners, LLC. With these companies, he has had the chance to green light films such as the Star Trek reboot, Evan Almighty, 27 Dresses, Bring It On, American Pie, Pitch Black, For Love of the Game, and Wanted. He is considered by others to be an expert in his field.
Brian Mulligan is a public speaker for the industry and has given talks on entertainment, sports, and business. He has also been honored by “Premiere Magazine” as One of the 50 Most Powerful People in Hollywood, by the “Los Angeles Business Journal” as One of the Ten Most Prominent Bankers in Hollywood, and by the “TMT Quarterly/Law 360” as One of the Leading Investment Bankers on Emerging Business Models.
Brian Mulligan is not only a successful businessman, he is also a philanthropist. He is involved with both charities and political causes that he supports. He supports the charity “A Better LA”, which works to help give children and famililes living in the inner city of Los Angeles a safer present and a better future. He has worked to help raise millions of dollars to be donated to schools. In addition to that, Brian Mulligan has helped with charities such as St. Jude, City of Hope, YMCA, United Way, and the Land of the Free Foundation. He is associated with prestigious school programs such as USC School of Cinema, USC Marshall School Dean Scholarship Fund, UCLA Anderson Dean Society, UCLA Chancellor’s Associates, and many others. He has also served as a coach for youth football and baseball teams.
