Wengie Tips for Healthy Weight Loss

In this video beauty logger Wengie encourages people by sharing about her weight loss journey and gives tips for how others can lose weight as well.

Weight loss is something that happens over a period of time. It does not occur overnight. Wengie reminds her viewers that weight loss happens as people change habits and that it can be a slow process. She also reminds her viewers that they didn’t gain weight overnight. Weight gain isn’t something that just happens but is also a result of habits learned over time.

Wengie suggests giving yourself at least 90 days to change habits which, she cautions, will take a lot of self-control to accomplish. It can be a painful 90 days but it is worth it in the end.

Wengie also shares the four bad eating habits that she had when she weighed more. She would eat supper very late at night and it was often something like chips and pasta. Another habit was that she started to drink soft drinks because her boyfriend liked them. The third habit was eating out too often. Restaurant portions tend to be larger and she felt pressure to finish it all to avoid wasting any. Finally, she had the habit of eating the same portion size that she gave her boyfriend when she would cook for him.

Changing those four habits was an important key to losing the extra weight she gained. She didn’t need to go on an extreme diet. It was as simple as eating differently and kicking bad habits. She encourages people to be realistic and lose weight the healthy way.

Wengie put together a book that has a seven-day eating plan. It is a sample of what she eats on a daily basis and is a fusion of Western and Asian food. The ingredients are all simple and a dollar from the sale of each book goes to charity.

Be Happy for What You Do Have: Patients in Venezuela Are Lacking Medicine and Other Necessities

“I have a 2014 Honda Civic, but I want a 2016 Mercedes Benz.” “I wish I can fill my closet with more designer clothes and shoes.” “I want that $1,000,000 mansion.” “These are all things many people dream about” says Danilo Diaz Granados. It does not cross these individuals’ minds that other people do not even have the basic essentials in order to survive. This is especially true for Venezuelan patients. They are lacking the essential medicines in order to live. The article, Venezuelan Patients Dying Amid Lack of Medicine, reflects upon this extremely emotional situation.
According to the Myspace re-released article, “For the past week, Sky News has secretly filmed in three major hospitals both inside and outside the capital Caracas” (2016). In these hospitals, the conditions are heart-breaking. There is no medicine or medical equipment. In addition, there is no clean water and no air conditioning. The toilets are clogged and the patients are being fed bad food irregularly. On top of that, the family of these patients must supply their food, bedding, water, medicine, and soap, which is also hard for family members to do, considering the financial and social collapse in Venezuela. Venezuelans depend on government supplied essentials and even these essentials are not supplied in sufficient amounts.

As a result of this financial instability of family members, in addition to the government not being able to supply enough medicine for its citizens, patients in these Venezuelan hospitals are suffering and dying at alarming rates. So next time people who have their basic needs met complain about wanting more, they should think about these poor suffering patients in Venezuela.

Its practical properties can be incorporated into many homemade cosmetic products such as bath bars, body butter, lip balms and healing ointments. On its own, Shea butter is a natural face and body moisturizer and can also reduce the look of stretch marks brought on by pregnancy. It is also quite effective in relieving under eye bags and wrinkles and is excellent massage butter. Because Shea butter is all natural, it can be used in baby care as well. It can rejuvenate skin after a day at the beach in the damaging sun. It is also an excellent scar cream because it stimulates collagen production.

There are many Shea butters on the market to consider. Grade A, natural Shea butter has a nutty, earthy fragrance. Unrefined Shea butter may contain fragments of the nut casing. The butter can be melted and strained through a sieve to remove the particles. There are also refined Shea butters that are unscented or lightly scented with essence of lavender, for example but sometimes the refining process removes the full benefits of the product. As it is a nut derivative, people with nut allergies should avoid using Shea butter.

Eugenia Shea Butter was begun by Eugenia Akuete of Ghana and brings sustainable work to the women of Ghana, with aid from paid farmers. The founder’s aim was to end the poverty, prejudice and segregation by giving women in her community a way to make an honest living and creature a future for the women and children of Ghana. Eugenia was introduced to Shea butter by her mother like many generations before her and used it for everything from dry skin to muscle fatigue and babies first bath.

Eugenia Shea butter has many products for the many skin care needs that exist. There are convenient tin sizes to suit every need and they are available in a variety of scents like grapefruit and lavender.

Class Dojo

Class Dojo(ClassDojo) is a platform for communication that changes the way students, guardians/parents, and teachers interact with each other. This program not only enables teachers to engage their students, but families also. In classrooms, instructors use the Class Dojo app to help connect with their pupils by giving them the encouragement (feedback points) to show critical skills, such as teamwork, leadership, critical thinking or persistence development. Two out of three schools prefer the use of
Class Dojo verses any other program.

Teachers can easily send videos, text messages, pictures, or stickers directly to parents, allowing them to experience special moments with their children on a daily basis. Instructors can also add posts to School Story and Class Story, a private news feed of moments in the classroom, available only to verified teachers, school leaders, and parents.

Parental Involvement

Learning platforms have developed drastically over the years, to help better the teaching techniques of teachers and involve parents/guardians. They need parents’ engagement in their child’s development, and the Class Dojo app makes that an easy task. This platform translates into 35 languages, and allows educators to share their student’s profile with parents. Guardians can access Class Dojo through an SMS/email invitation or a certain code sent directly from the teacher. Only the development of their children (not others) is viewable.

Student Accounts

Students can also get involved by creating a Class Dojo account to view their progress. However, they must receive a code from their teacher before it can be connected to a class. If the child is under 13 years of age, parental consent is necessary before access to various features becomes available. Students can customize an adorable avatar representing them, view teacher feedback on their growth, and other things. In agreement with the Child Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), their age will be required, and if under 13 years of age, an email must be sent to the parent or guardian for consent. No other personal information will be required.

School Officials

School Officials can also play an important role with Class Dojo, by sharing videos, photos, and notes on School Story. Only guardians/parents connected to the classes can view these. School officials can see highlights (an overview of school activity including engagement and feedback) make classes, and more.

This program has proven to help teachers engage their classroom. Parents adore the results, and students get the empowerment and positive skills they need. Class Dojo creates a positive environment in classrooms, and makes learning a community effort.

IT Staffing Firm Finds Strength in Diversity

Diversant LLC is the result of two highly experienced IT staffing executives combining their expertise.

At Spherion Technology, Gene C. Waddy was the National Practice Director for Infrastructure Services. He was in charge of helping large clients around the country fill their IT positions. In 2005, after he was laid off, he founded Diversant Inc.

John Goullet started out as an IT consultant himself, then moved on to IT staffing, serving as an IT staffing account executive. In 1994 he founded Info Technologies, which served Fortune 500 companies. He grew that company to $30 million within five years, making it one of INC Magazine’s 500 fastest growing privately held businesses in the United States, two times. In 2010, Goullet and Waddy combined forces, merging Info Technologies and Diversant Inc to create Diversant LLC.

Diversant is a Minority Owned Business Enterprise, and the largest IT staffing company in the United States that is owned by an African-American. It’s fully certified by the Small Business Administration and its 8(a) Business Development Program.

Its annual revenues are around $100 million. It helps medium-sized and Fortune 500 businesses fill their IT staffing needs. The name itself recognizes the value they give to diversity. Diversity Business recently recognized Diversant as one of the “Top 100 Diversity Owned Businesses in New Jersey for 2016.” Diversant is based in Red Bank, and it has satellite offices in San Francisco and Minneapolis.

One way Diversant attracts a diversity of consultants is STAR program for recruiting veterans. 80 percent of the veterans they hire are minorities.

Waddy and Goullet believe diversity leads to stronger consultants, and better results for Diversant’s clients. They use proprietary “Best in Class” procedures to help their consultants give clients the best possible service and solutions.

Like Waddy, Goullet reside in New Jersey. He graduated from Ursinus College in 1983. He serves as Chairman and Principal at Diversant. He works to understand his consultants, and to match them with clients based not just on their IT skills, but on their personalities and work styles.
