FreedomPop Launches Free 4G Service in the United Kingdom

American mobile company FreedomPop has launched a new 46 service in the United Kingdom free of charge, according to The Telegraph.

FreedomPop’s expansion into the UK is the first part of what is meant to be the first phase of an extensive international expansion plan on play.google.com.

Users will pay an initial fee of £7 to set up the service, after which they will receive a free basic service granting them 200 minutes of phone calls, 200 texts, and 200 MB of data. Those wanting to add to their basic plan to receive more communications access will have to pay £4.99 and £16.99 after their initial data cap has been exceeded, depending on their wants and needs.

The company also provides other options for people further looking to save money on fees for extra coverage. Subscribers to the service can bypass these fees to an extent, by completing marketing surveys provided by third parties.

FreedomPop, like other low-cost service providers such as Tesco and TalkTalk, will not own any mobile masts or infrastructure of their own. Rather, the company will buy capacity on the Three network, which it will then provide to subscribers.

The company is planning for some degree of success, despite some differences in the way Americans approach their mobile subscriptions.

Chief Executive Stephen Sokols notes that while many FreedomPop subscribers in the United States do not purchase additional coverage, its UK presence will only have to attract around 50,000 subscribers to become “cash flow positive.”

I think that Skout is an excellent dating app. However, calling it a typical dating app is severely selling the platform short. Skout is actually a social media site that is thinly disguised as a dating app. Traditional dating apps are full of sharks, scorned lovers and gold diggers. They are like going to a bad version of an 80’s movie. The only opportunity that these inferior dating apps offer is the ability to hook up. However, this does not even happen initially because you cannot be sure that the person posting pictures and information is the person that you are going to meet. Notre Dame’s Executive Leadership Program Recognizes the Executive Vice President of Newark Community Economic Development Corporation, Kevin Seawright

The University Of Notre Dame-Mendoza College Of Business has recognized the Executive Vice President and Chief Officer of the Newark Community Economic Development Corporation (Newark CEDC), Kevin Seawright, for successfully finishing the second installment of Nonprofit Fund Development Program. According to Newark CEDC, this completion is the latest step in the path of Seawright of continuing education and development in his new position in the organization.

Kevin Seawright is prepared to lead Newark CEDC to new heights. Andrew Wirth: A Skiing Lifer Committed To Community Service

Andrew Wirth, Squaw Valley Ski Holdings’ president and CEO, has spent almost his entire life involved in skiing. Before he got involved in the hotel and mountain resort industry, the Neubrucke, West Germany born Wirth was a San Pedro Parks Wilderness Area wilderness ranger and worked in the Rocky Mountain National Parks as a backcountry ranger. At age 23, he became an intern at Steamboat Springs Resort and worked his way up through the company until he became executive vice president and chief marketing officer in 2007. In 2010, he left to become CEO and President of Squaw Valley Ski Holdings in Olympic Valley, California, the site of the 1960 Winter Olympics.

While he was at Steamboat Springs, Andrew Wirth worked with the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club, an organization helped to develop athletes involved in winter sports athletes and assisted with the staging of competitive winter sports events. He also worked with a number of groups involved with the ski resort industry to assist them with their marketing efforts. Once he got to Squaw Valley, his focus was on rebuilding the ski resort and the area to their long held position at the top of the ski resort industry. At Squaw Valley Wirth worked with several non-profit community service organizations that provide support for youth development, the arts, education, health and human services, the environment, local businesses, the ski industry, and the Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority which recently named him chairman of its board of directors.

Wirth has received numerous awards and accolades for his work. While in Steamboat Springs he was named one of the Hospitality and Travel Sales and Marketing industry’s top 25 minds by HSMAI and was selected Business Leader of the Year. Wirth was given the Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority Board of Trustees Chairman’s Outstanding Service award, the Community Five award, and was named Disabled Sports USA’s Citizen of the Year.
